Resources for Dealing With Stress and Anxiety

As shared by DPEP Chairman Josh D’Amaro, the prolonged impact of COVID-19 on our business, including limited capacity due to physical distancing requirements and the continued uncertainty regarding the duration of the pandemic, has created an environment in which we cannot stay fully staffed. As a result, the very difficult decision has been made to begin the process of reducing our workforce at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products at all levels. We are talking with affected employees as well as to the unions on next steps for union-represented employees.
The announcement of workforce reductions undoubtedly creates anxiety for all of us. The following resources are available to assist with stress and anxiety during this time.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP)
- Counseling services are available to assist with a variety of emotional health needs.
- TWDC employees and dependents currently have 10 free EAP visits, increased from five. Employees under TFCF benefits continue to have eight free visits.

LIFECARE
- LifeCare is a free, private, and confidential service that offers personalized concierge specialists, referrals, monthly live talks, articles, webinars, and solutions for everyday issues. They will research, compare and qualify possible services and providers.

HEADSPACE
- U.S. Disney Parks, Experiences and Products employees have unlimited, complimentary access to the entire Headspace library through Oct. 27.
- Headspace is a mindfulness app that can help reduce stress and increase focus.

We have set up an HR phone line at 321-939-7000 (Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. ET). Employees may also schedule a phone appointment with the Employee Resource Center at a time that’s most convenient.
